On June 3rd last year, we celebrated the release of Lyndsey Ellis’s debut novel, Bone Broth, with an amazing event at the Stoughton Opera House in Stoughton, WI. Just last weekend — a year to the day! — we celebrated Bone Broth again at the 2022 Friends of American Writers (FAW) Award Luncheon in Chicago, where Lyndsey accepted the Friends of American Writers Literature Award.
What a beautiful day spent with a beautiful author, talking again about her powerful novel!

In addition to recognition from the Friends of American Writers, Bone Broth has also been chosen as the First Year Read for Fall 2022 at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. We are thrilled to see Lyndsey’s work honored in these ways, proof of what we knew all along: Bone Broth is a powerful story that engages the reader and inspires conversation.

For the one-year anniversary, we have released a 2nd edition of Bone Broth and included two pages of questions for book clubs or classrooms. These questions ready the mind for deeper discussions about the characters in Bone Broth, the challenges they face, the effects of grief, and the reconciliation of one woman’s past.
In the next several days, you will begin to see Bone Broth popping up on your favorite indie bookstore sites and on Bookshop.org. But if you’re part of a book club or would love to see this novel become part of the curriculum at your school or university, send us a note. We’re happy to place bulk orders at discounted prices.
Congratulations, Lyndsey! We are so grateful to be a part of this exciting journey!
